Program preview: The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood


Production Team:

Tahrea Maynard is delighted to direct her 9th children’s show, her first one being Treasure Island in 2009. Tahrea’s recent theatrical projects include RTP’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Little Theatre off Broadway’s Ruthless. This past May, Tahrea performed in LTOB’s Aida as Amneris for which she received the Audience Appreciation Award and was nominated for Broadway World Columbus’ 2012 Leading Actress in a Musical Award. She has also appeared in the past with Columbus Civic Theatre (both as actor and director), Bread and Circus Theatre Co., Raconteur Theatre Co., and the late Rosebriar Shakespeare Theatre Co. This summer, Tahrea will be appearing as Diana in the Columbus premiere of Next to Normal with Shots in the Dark Independent Theatre Co. Tahrea teaches Musical Theatre classes with the Charmion Performing Art Center here in Circleville. “Thanks to the cast and production team for your efforts and dedication! Love you all!” This Rose loves her Doctor.

Junia Patrick has been a part of RTP for 9 years and has loved every minute of her theatrical journey. From costumes to makeup to acting to dancing to choreography to singing to tech to directing, Junia has done it all while participating at Roundtown Players. In her spare time she works as a receptionist, voice teacher, and an antiques dealer with her mother. Junia is so grateful for the love and support she receives from her husband Tyler (aka-Little John) and her family. She is very proud of her amazing cast and thanks director/sister Tahrea for allowing her to be a part of another fantastic Children’s Production at RTP. “Break a leg everyone! Now, scatter!”

Jenny Rhoads is happy to finally be a part of one of Tahrea's shows. Her recent Roundtown productions include assistant directing Cat On a Hot Tin Roof, and acting in The Sleeping Prince and Meet Me in St. Louis. She is an alumnus of the Capital University Theatre Department, where she was the department properties manage, acted in, and stage managed several shows.

Chris Johnson is a resident of Columbus Ohio and has been Ecstatic to be apart of this wonderful production. With his Degree in Theatrical Arts from Mount Vernon Nazarene University he is proud to see what lies in store for these talented kids! He also would like to share special thanks with Tahrea Maynard for asking him to be involved and also being an important part of his life.

Cast:
Sarah Julien (Town’s Gal) is thrilled to take part in yet another one of the amazing Tahrea Maynard's shows. This is her 5th production with RTP. Besides acting, Sarah enjoys participating in her school's choir, band, and track and cross country teams. Enjoy the show, everyone!

Merry Men-
Brandon Richardson (Robin Hood) is twenty-three with brown hair and green eyes. He enjoys long walks on the beach and talking about his feelings. Er…I mean, this is Brandon’s 6th production with RTP. He greatly enjoys acting, and when he’s not working in the world of mainframes, going to church, or spending time with his wonderful wife, he dabbles in filmmaking and all things technology.

Cameron Aume (Friar Tuck) is cool.

Tyler Patrick (Little John) After directing alongside his wife, sister, and working with his roll-brother Connor Stonerock, Tyler is making his RTP acting debut . He is thankful for this opportunity to act with the kids he enjoys being with.  “Thank you to my family for their support and many blessings.”

Connor Stonerock (Allan Adale) is 14 years old and an 8th grader at McDowell. This is his 7th production with Tahrea (The red vine queen) as his director, and has loved every one of them. “I'm super excited to have Tyler (my roll brother from another mother) actually performing this time! I would love to thank every one of you for spending your weekends here at this really “bad”representation of Robin Hood, and I would like to thank Junia, who comes back time and time again to help us "actors" look good and help us rock the stage. I would like to thank my parents for having an amazing kid like me :) and I would like to thank the academy and Mary Maynard for having two wonderful bright young stars (Tahrea and Junia). I hope you ALL ENJOY this show.”

Audrey Fouts (William Scarlet) is a 7th grader at Jackson Middle School in Grove City.  She is very excited to be in her 2nd production with Round Town Players, having last been seen as Princess Louisa in The Sleeping Prince.  Some of her favorite past performances include Getting Near to Baby, Sleeping Beauty Kids, and Godspell Jr.  Audrey has had a lot of laughs working with Tahrea and cast of Robin Hood and is sure you will laugh too. She would like to thank her family and friends for being so supportive!

Merry Men Recruits-
Donnie Love (Lionel) (aka Dr. Love) is 8 years old and in the 3rd grade at Washington Elementary.  This is his 2nd RTP production.  His first play was The Magician’s Nephew.  Donnie’s hobbies are reading, learning about dragons, throwing axes, and playing with his friends.  Tahrea ROCKS!

Garrett Euton (Byron) is 9 years old and in the 3rd grade at Washington Elementary. He has been in three plays with his big brother Chase and has realized that "theatre people" become like family. “This show is a riot. Hope you enjoy it and laugh till it hurts!”

Carrie Love (Mary) is 10 years old and in the 5th grade.  This is Carrie’s 3rd RTP production, the first two being Hamlet and The Magician’s Nephew. Carrie attends Salt Creek Intermediate School.  She enjoys playing the flute in band, drawing and hanging out with her friends.  Carrie wishes to thank her Grarah, for without his numerous hours of playing princess with her, she would have never wanted to act.  She also wishes to let the world know that Tahrea is amazing and that she is also an awesome director.

Katarina Stanley (Lady Laughalot) is nine years old and she loves to sing, dance, and act. This is her 1st Roundtown production, but she played a Dust Bunny in a Missoula Children's Theatre production of The Princess and the Pea. She is a member of the Charmion Performing Arts' Dance Team and enjoys playing the piano. Katarina has enjoyed working on The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood.

Allyson Whithers (Donna) is 11 years old, and is in the 6th grade at Everts Middle School. This is her 7th RTP play. “I love acting and One Direction. Junia and Tahrea are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Tahrea and Junia lots!!!!!

Debbie- Gracieanne Gray (Debbie) is 10 years old and attends Saltcreek Intermediate School. She is in the 5th grade. This will be her 5th play at Roundtown Players. “I LOVE acting. Thanks to our directors and all the supporters of Roundtown players. Enjoy the show!”

Royals-
Carly Joseph (Lady Marian) This is Carly's first RTP show! She has done several shows with Chillicothe Civic Theater, Ohio University-Chillicothe, and others! Her most recent and favorite CCT shows being Murder of the Nile (Christina Grant) and Oliver (Bet). She is very happy to be accepted into the RTP family and hopes to continue to do more shows here! "Thank you Tahrea and Junia for taking a chance on me! And thank you to the cast for being so awesome!"

Chase Euton (Prince John) This is Chase’s umpteenth play and he is really excited to be playing THE EVIL PRINCE JOHN. He plans on joining the Navy after he graduates High School, and the go on to college to study Robotics Engineering.

Ethan Queen (Sheriff of Nottingham) is 15 yrs old. He enjoys Doctor Who and MST3K. This is his 3rd RTP production and he is looking forward to many more in the future. Ethan is a freshman at Amanda Clearcreek. He enjoys hanging with friends and his older brother Patrick. “Remember kids- reading opens a rainbow of opportunity to you.”

Jackie Richardson (Lady in Waiting) is 15 years old. She is currently a freshman at Logan Elm High School. One of her most favorite things to do is watching Doctor Who. She also enjoys singing, drawing, hanging out with friends from church and school, and watching even more Doctor Who. This is her 6th production at RTP and she can't wait to do more. In the future, Jackie hopes to expand her artistic ability and is considering an art college.

Fawing Ladies-
Abigail Blust is 13 and in the 7th grade at Evert’s Middle School. This is her 4th play for Roundtown Players. She loves music, acting, and singing. Her favorite music group is One Direction. She lives with her mom, dad, and two brothers here in Circleville. “I hope you enjoy the show!!!!!”

 Audrey Glitt is a sixth-grader at Teays Valley East Middle School. This is her second RTP production, having just played in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She is a member of the school chorus and has taken dance and musical theater lessons. She's excited to be part of the company and has learned a lot from director Tahrea Maynard and her fellow cast mates.

Abigail Thatcher is 11 years old and goes to Everts Middle School. This is her 2nd RTP play. “I love RTP. It feels like a second home. Tahrea is like One Direction to me!”
